Missing title tags, absent structured data, slow load times, these don't announce themselves. They just prevent pages from performing as well as they should. The right order matters: check whether Google can crawl and index your pages before optimizing content. A beautifully written page with a noindex directive or a broken canonical doesn't rank regardless of how good the copy is. Then work through on-page signals, title, H1, meta description, heading structure, before moving to performance and trust signals. For sites under a few hundred pages, monthly checks on key pages and a full quarterly audit is a sensible cadence. After a redesign, migration, or CMS change, audit immediately, those events break more SEO than almost anything else.
